School Improvement Plan
At Killisick Junior School, our School Improvement Plan (SIP) is a strategic document that outlines our key priorities for ensuring the highest standards of education and wellbeing for our pupils. Rooted in our school motto, Believe to Achieve and Succeed, the SIP is developed through a thorough evaluation of school performance, including pupil outcomes, teaching quality, behaviour, and leadership effectiveness. We use data analysis, staff and pupil voice, and feedback from parents and governors to set clear, measurable targets for improvement. The plan is regularly reviewed and updated throughout the year, with progress monitored through lesson observations, pupil assessments, and external validation where appropriate. This ensures that we remain focused on delivering the best possible education for every child and continuously strive for excellence.
Our four strategic priorities for 2024/2025 are:
- To continue to develop expert teaching.
- To continue to improve outcomes in writing, particularly for our most disadvantaged children.
- To continue to grow and develop expert Subject Leaders.
- To continue to improve attendance, particularly for our most disadvantaged children.
